Robert Randolph "Jack" Davis, 71, of Elkton, passed away May 14, 2013, at Harrisonburg Health & Rehabilitation.

Mr. Davis was born November 24, 1941 in Elkton, to the late Jasper John and Gertrude Williams Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jessie Davis, John Jasper Davis, Matthew "Bill" Davis, Russell Davis; sisters, Evangeline Butler, Meldora Williams, Jerline Jackson, Anna Mae McKeithan.

Jack attended the Lucy Simms School in Harrisonburg, and was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, near Elkton. He was a farmer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his companion of 23 years, Carolyn "Susie" Breeden; children, Elizabeth Ann Majors and husband, Irvin of Elkton, Alkina Williams and husband, Curtis of Nokesville, and Dominque Cubbage of Elkton; sisters, Maggie Allen and husband, Leroy, Irene Carter, Ruth Davis, Corena Moore, Dorothea Sanders and husband, John all of Elkton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Francis E. Belle and Elder Benjamin Cubbage will conduct a funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday May 17, 2013, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel, in Elkton. Burial will follow in the Bryant Hollow Cemetery, near Elkton.

The family will receive friends from 6 ~ 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home, in Elkton. Friends may also call at the Davis home at anytime.
