Preceded in death by loving wife Blanche McConkey Scruggs, brothers Carleton Scruggs and Earl Scruggs, sister Charlotte Scruggs Lee. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madisonville. Survivors-Children & spouses: J.T. & Beth Scruggs, Madisonville, Dan & Charlotte Scruggs, Englewood, Pat & Jack Rollins, Ooltewah, Mary Gail & Ernie Haynes, Madisonville, 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, Sister & brother-in-law: Dorothy Scruggs Denton (Bob), Charlotte, NC, Sister-in-law: Billie Scruggs, Madisonville, several nieces & nieces, Devoted friend: Mrs. Virginia Thomas and her children Gail and Allen Lail, Vonore. Funeral 7:00 P.M. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Curtis Woods officiating. Interment 1:00 P.M.
