Colon was the son of George H. and Pancy (Pugh) Hardin. He married Ella Maie Ivey in 1925 and they were the parents of two daughters: Edna Marie and Gladys Geneva.

FRANKLINVILLE - Colon Enoch Hardin, 83, of Route 2, died Tuesday at Randolph Memorial Hospital in Asheboro.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Gray Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and was employed by Weiman Manufacturing Co. for 60 years before retiring.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mae Ivey Hardin; daughter, Mrs. Reece (Gladys) Amick of Liberty; brother John Hardin of Asheboro; sisters, Mrs. Tilda Ferguson of Liberty, Mrs. Era Pugh of Franklinville; one grandchild.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur 7-9 p.m. today, other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reece Amick, Route 1, Liberty.
