The location of the Green Family Plantation house (heard it has been torn down) and cemetery is located in Halifax County, North Carolina, from the town of Halifax Route 903 N about 5.7 miles from Pierce's crossroad, the two story house was on the left side of road, behind the house was the cemetery, most of George Green's Jr.family is buried there. Across the road from this location is a dirt road through a wooded area, as you exit the wooded area look to the right and you will see a large grave marker erected by the DAR of Halifax County, memorial of George Green 1758-1848.
When George Green, Junior married Temperance Hart in 1822, Thomas R. Neville future father-in-law to Elijah Hillman Green, signed the marriage bond.
The 1830 census for Halifax County, North Carolina shows that George Green, Junior's household consisted of a boy less than 5, two girls 5 to 10, George at 30 to 40, his wife aged 20 to 30 and one female slave 10 to 24.
After George Green died, an agreement was reached among his heirs for the sale of his land.
