Bernice Glover, age 90, of Imlay City recently of Lapeer,Michigan passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 after an extended illness at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility ( known as Suncrest). Bernice E. Ryckman was born September 10, 1922 in Goodland Township, Michigan. She was the daughter of Basil and Mabel Ryckman. She lived most all of her life in the Imlay City area. She was married to Clyde Almeron Glover on April 5, 1941 in Goodland Township. She was a home maker. She liked: cooking, sewing, baking, crotcheting; and careing for her plants (especially her African Violets). Surviving are her daughters: Thelda (& Don) Campbell of Attica and Louanne (& Phil) See of Imlay City; her son: Almeron (& Kathy) Glover of Brown City; sisters: Geraldine {Gerry} (&Charles) Rathka of Metamora, Edie (& Duane) Hill of Brown City, and Judy (& Joe) Murray of Brown City; brothers: Arnold {Sam} (& Jean Ryckman of Imlay City and William (& Eileen) Ryckman of Brown City; sister-in-law: Evelyn Ryckman of Imlay City; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by : her husband: Clyde Glover; her parents: Basil and Mabel Ryckman; a son: Thomas Lee Glover; a daughter: Susanne Glover; a brother: Lyle Ryckman; and by a sister: Winnie (& Rene) VanDenBerg. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. Pastor Jim Buckley of the Marlette Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Goodland Township Cemetery, Imlay City. Friends may call at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 Main Street, Imlay City, where the family will be available for visiting 2-5 & 6-8 pm Monday, May 13th, 2013.
