Gary Blaine Wilson, 76, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Montpelier, Idaho. He was born March 5, 1937, in Heyburn, Idaho, son of Aaron and Mary (Campbell) Wilson. Gary was one of nine children and the family lived in multiple places in southern Idaho.

As a young man Gary joined the US Air Force and served in Japan during the Korean War.

Gary married Nancy Jane Grace in 1958 in Salt Lake City. Gary and Nancy had three sons, Scott Gary Wilson, Mark David Wilson and Bryon Jack Wilson. They later divorced.

On April 1, 1967, he married Carol Rae Johnson in Ovid and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Gary and Carol made their home in Idaho where he worked in construction and as a heavy equipment operator for the P&M Mine. He worked for the mine for 26 years when he retired in 1997.

Gary loved the outdoors. He spent a lot of time with his family hunting, camping and fishing. Gary also developed a love for prospecting and would frequently pan for gold at Caribou Mountain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his five sisters and two brothers, his wife Carol Rae Wilson and son Mark Wilson.

Gary is survived by his brother George Wilson, sons Scott (Jeanine) Wilson, Bryon Wilson, daughter Christina (Mike) Carr and son Ryan (Amy) Wilson. Also surviving are his 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be held at the Ovid Cemetery on Saturday, May 18 at noon. A luncheon will be held after the services at the LDS Church 4th Ward building in Montpelier.
