Marvin M. 'Boge' VanDyke was born November 30, 1928, in Moline, son of Charles and Lesta Deweese VanDyke. He married Lois Thaxton September 24, 1955.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; son, Bruce VanDyke; daughter, Sarah VanDyke; grandchildren, Tyler (Heather) VanDyke, Megan VanDyke, Chelsea Sanders and Brooke Horton; great-granddaughter, Lailah Nevaeh and brothers, Troy, Jesse, Kenneth and Larry VanDyke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vicci Lynn and brothers, Charles and Jack.
Marvin was a veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War, attaining the rank of M/Sgt. and was awarded a Bronze Star.
