Donald Radden was born to C. and Overa (Robertson) Radden on January 12,1928 and entered eternal life on May 12 2013 in Ardmore,Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

Donald's grandfather, Charles T Radden, relocated the family around 1900 from Mallard Creek, Meckenburg County, North Carolina to Beaty, Garvin County, Oklahoma. Donald's parents married in Garvin county on December 17,1921. Donald's roots ran deep in Garvin County.

Don and my grandmother, Blanche, met at a chicken auction in Lexington,Oklahoma. My grandmother had just lost her husband of 43 years to cancer and Don's first wife had also recently passed. They bonded strongly and lived out their remaining years together. Don and Blanche both loved raising chickens and watching 1950's western movies together.

Don enlisted in the Army during the Korean conflict and spent over two years in a war zone. Don had those survival skills of listening, looking and finding the best answer to a problem before he took action.

Don loved hunting, fishing and working the land. He was a retired school bus driver and spent his early years in the Army and the oil fields.

Don was a gentle and caring grandfather.Don was also kind and loving husband to my Grandma Blanche.Don you will be missed by all that have known you.
