Alta Mae Grissom, age 91, Russellville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014.
The visitation was held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Akins Funeral Home.
The 2 p.m. funeral service will be held at North Highlands Church Of Christ today with Brother Charlie Britnell and Brother Jack Henson officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Junior Grissom, son, Eddie Wayne Grissom, parents, Riley and Dessie Taylor, and sisters, Venus Hester and Helen Mitchell.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Grissom Shoultes and husband, Bruce, and Velma Grissom Dickey and husband, Paul; brothers, Thomas E. Taylor and Faris E. Taylor; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
