Michigan City -- Services for Reinhold Tressmer, 83, a resident of Valparaiso for many years, who died Wednesday at Red Oaks Nursing home, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Root Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Kouts.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.
He was born in Chicago on Aug. 14, 1886, a son of Frederick and Pauline (Valentine) Tressmer. On June 09, 1909, he married Effie Herron, who preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 1934. Two sons, three brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.
Surviving are a brother, Henry of Wheeler; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Brown, Hoopeston, Ill.; two sons, DeForest of Chicago and Raymond of Hobart; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Waymire, Phoenix, and Mrs. Woodrow (Marian) Weideman, Valparaiso; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
