Dies in Cedartown;
Services Thursday
Cedartown - W. A. (Buck) Acree, 54, of 218 Jule Peek Ave., died Tuesday afternoon in a Cedartown hospital after a few hours serious illness.
Mr. Acree was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he was Sunday School Superintendent and an elder of the church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a Mason of the Cedartown Caldonia Lodge 121.
Mr. Acree was born June 13, 1906 in Pinehurst, Ga., and had lived in Cedartown for the past 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, one son, W. Dent Acree, of Atlanta; mother, Mrs. W. A. Acree of Cedartown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Polk Memory Gardens.
Olin Gammage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
