She moved with her family from Currituck County, NC to Marshall County, IL in April 1831. The Forbes, Sawyers and Whites came together on the 1100 mile 5 month trip.
On 24 Jul 1835 Frances married Jordan Sawyer the son of Jesse & Margaret [Gibson] Sawyer.
The couple had 1 known child Samuel T. Sawyer 1839-1867 TX.
Frances died between 1845-1847. Her husband, son and father in-law Jesse went out the Oregon trail to Yamhill, OR. It is felt that Frances died in Marshall County before the men left for Oregon.
If so she would have been buried in the Sawyer cemetery or Forbes Cemetery there. Records for the Forbes cemetery did not show her burial. Records for the small Sawyer family cemetery are only based on censuses that recorded grave stones. So, no marker no record.
