BOONE - Mr. Gaither Mahonia Grogan 85, retired carpenter, died Jan. 31, 1993, at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Reins- Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Survivors are his wife, Thelma; sons, Herschel Wood of Chattanooga, Jack Wood of Abington, Md.; daughter, Mrs. Margaret White of Aberdeen, Md.; sisters, Mrs. Nette Stevens of Romolus, Mich., Mrs. Ethel Edwards of West Jefferson.
