Jim is survived by: his wife, Shirley; 3 children, Randy (Kim) Boerst of Pulaski, Jeff (Connie) Boerst of Seymour, Stuart Boerst of Appleton; grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Oelke, Courtney, Tasha, Jared, Kira, Cayla and Jenna Boerst; great-grandchildren, Dylan Teske, Ethan and Kaitlyn Rose Oelke; his sister, Jeanette Templin of Green Bay; sister-in-law, Sandi (Nick) Van Haren; brothers-in-law, Don (Lois) Nischke, Junier Nischke and Tim (Julie) Nischke and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Jessica Boerst Teske, a sister-in-law, Jean Nischke and a brother-in-law, Don Templin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor with the Rev. Mike Dismer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial through the Bellin Health Foundation has been established for the Bellin Cancer Team. The family extends a special thank you to the Bellin Cancer Team for their care and compassion, especially to Dr. Patrick Mansky, Patti Marquardt, APNP, FNP-C and Regina Sano, RN and cardiologist, Dr. Matthais Fuchs.
