Dwight Leon Morgan was born to Myrtle (Isom) and Chancy Logan Morgan on October 4, 1918 in Sesser, Illinois. He was the eldest of 4 boys, his brothers being: Chancy Edward, Ted, and Paul.
He married Margaret Evelyn Gipson on August 23, 1963 in Wheaton, Illinois. Dwight had been a coal miner, restaurant manager, and a supervisor for the Illinois Department of Mental health. He retired in 1976.
Dwight died on March 8, 1992 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois. A funeral was held and he was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery. He left behind his wife, one son and one daughter, two brothers, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 16 nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews, and one great great nephew.
