Mary Ann Weston, the daughter of Jabez and Mary Weston, was born in Lincolnshire, England 13 May 1836 and immigrated in 1836 to the United States with her parents. She married William Ellsworth, a widower,15 February 1872 at Black Earth, Dane County, Wisconsin. Two children were born to William and Mary, Fred Weston and a child who died in infancy. On March 12, 1888, the family moved from the farm into Mazomanie where William died 17 February 1900 and Mary died 28 July 1914.
