William was born on Sept. 4, 1902 at Bonesteel, South Dakota to Ole L. and Minnie (Kappelman) Flisram.

He married Judith Elizabeth Lindgren on Aug. 9, 1929 at Winner, South Dakota. Judith and William had an infant son who was born in 1934. The child died that same year. They adopted a son, Billy Ray.

William is survived by his son, Billy Ray; and three sisters, Vivian (Merton) Fisher, Holyce (Charles) Schmitz and Avis (Henry) Savaglio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; an infant son; his parents, Ole and Minnie Flisram; and two sisters, Opal (Lawrence) Peterson and Veula (Bernard) Olson.
