Julie Crowe was eldest daughter of Issac and Emily Crowe of Carter Co. She was born in the Hunter Community of Carter, but spent part of her youth in Elk Park,Avery Co,NC when her grandfather Thomas Crow, her father Issac, and his brothers moved to live at Elk Park. Julie returned to TN when the family moved to Johnson City in the first decade of 1900.
She was married twice. Her first husband was John Leach, whom she married in Unicoi in 1906. Following his death in 1930, she remarried Thomas Richardson in 1933 in Washington Co. She lived in Johnson City until moving to Akron,OH to work in a tool manufacturing plant during WWII. She returned to live the remainder of her life in Johnson City, but died after a stay in Knoxville.
Julie is buried in an unmarked grave between her parents and two husbands. SHe had no children.
