Earl Archa King, 84 years old, passed away at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday, May 5, 2013.

He was born on March 27, 1929 in West Point, Utah to Archa and Leona Whitehead King.

On July 27, 1950 he married the love of his life, Lucille Tracy King, in the Logan LDS Temple. He worked for over 30 years at Lindquist & Sons.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held various positions and served a Stake Mission. His favorite calling was working in the Library in the Northridge Ward. He enjoyed working with the Cub and Boy Scouts and especially enjoyed the river runs.

Earl proudly served his country in the Navy and the Army during the Korean War, where he received the Bronze Service Star.

He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycle riding, and boating. He loved traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a grandpa to all the Young Women he went to Girl's Camp with for the Roy 30th Ward.

His generosity and kindness have been a blessing to all that he has met.

Survivors include daughters, Michelle (Don) Tanner and Cindy (Scott) Robinson; sons, Rick, Kim (Silva) King, and George Tracy; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Coleen Bergeson.

Earl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucille and 5 sisters, Odetta Offret, Arleen Tesch, Grace King, Velma Johnson, and Myrtle Stevenson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
