Ronnie Erwin Tomlin, a lifelong resident of Ariton, Alabama, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Dec. 2, 2005. He was 54.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Ministers will be the Revs. Bill Hart, Ron Jackson and Larry Montgemery of Georgia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ronnie was born June 1, 1951. He attended Ariton High School, afterwards he served in the United State Army Reserve for 12 years. He was a dedicated employee for 34 years at Sara Lee's Bakery. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Marell Tomlin.
Survivors include his loving mother, Mavis Searcy King of Ariton; one son, John Quincy (Michele) Tomlin of Irvington; two daughters, Kimberly Ann (Donnie) Collins of Hilliard, Fla., and Jane Arlene (Larry) Thomas of Newton; three brothers, Lamar (Sonja) Tomlin of Ozark, A.D. (Edna) Tomlin of Dothan, and Larry (Carolyn) Tomlin of Russellville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and lots of friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Larry W. Tomlin, Aubry Tomlin, Scott Tomlin, Ben Tomlin, Brian Zewen, and Kevin Baxley. Honorary pallbearer will be David Pitts, Jr.
Ronnie will be greatly missed and was dearly loved by all. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He will be in our hearts forever and always until we meet again.
