Joyce Coggins, of Salem, daughter of the late Cleo Nelson Barnett and Della Pearl Tucker Barnett, was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Agnos, AR. She died June 13, 2011, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, at the age of 88 years 6 months and 10 days.
She was united in marriage to Anerson Coggins Aug. 24, 1941 in Agnos. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children; Lloyd Coggins Jr. and wife Marie of Tulsa, OK., Charles Darrell Coggiins and wife Jo Ann of Searcy, Hazel Taylor and husband Harold of Salem, Mazel Dean Miller of Salem and Linda Coggins of Salem; her grandchildren: Brad and Todd Coggins, David, Angela and Christie Coggins, Cindy Smith, Chris Taylor, Tim Miller and Lorrie Sandridge; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; one brother, Gordon Barnett and wife Nancy of Salem; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son who died in infancy, a brother, Lloyd Barnett, and her father and mother.
Funeral services will be Thursday June 16, 2011 at 10 am at Agnos Church of Christ with burial in Agnos Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers are Brad Coggins, Todd Coggins, David Coggins, Chris Taylor, Tim Miller and Mike Smith.
