Carl Phillip Bee, Sr., 80, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his home. He was a native of Lacarne, OH; served in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Army; and retired as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Col. Carl E. Bee and Florence Katherine Weber Bee; and a brother, Fenton Bee. He is survived by a son, Carl (Connie) Bee, Jr. of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Debora (Chris) Monin of Bardstown; a sister, Patricia Paar of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron and Alec Bee and Olivia and Addie Alm. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. Prayer vigil 7 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.
