Joseph A. "Joe" Anderson, Sr., 73, of Dayton, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:15 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Joe was born August 19, 1939 in Cleveland, OH, to parents; Wallace C. and Joan L. Gillentine Anderson, a former resident of Channelview, and has resided in Dayton for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy and an electronics technician from Baylor University and Texas Instruments. He also enjoyed computers, reading, and especially motorcycles.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his father: Wallace C. Anderson, mother: Joan L. Gillentine Anderson, son: Joseph A. Anderson, Jr., sister: Peggy Anderson, and nephews: David and Dale Whitsell.
