Lila Miriam Williams was the daughter of Preston and Margaret (McEntre) Williams. She married David Crockett Witherspoon on Dec. 24, 1941 in Wardville, OK. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1993. She attended Cairo and Limestone Gap schools, graduating in 1941. She was a homemaker and a teacher. Miriam was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Coalgate, Ok. Miriam enjoyed gardening and mowing her yard and tending flowers. She enjoyed riding horses with her husband and help gather cattle. She loved her Grandchildren and playing games with them. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Lacy Witherspoon; sister, Gloria Sue Manley; nephew, Lee Manley; and brothers, Wilburn, Don and Ray Williams. Services will be held May 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Coalgate, OK. Interment will be at Coalgate Cemetery.
