Otis Dorman Gragg, 70, of Kool Park Road, Hickory, and formerly of Caldwell County, died Thursday at a Hickory Hospital following a year of declining health.

Born Oct. 3, 1915 in Caldwell County, Mr. Gragg was a son of the late Horace and Vera Moore Gragg. He was a charter member of the Springs Road Baptist Church, retired owner and operator of Gragg's Auto Trim Shop and a veteran of WWII. Mr. Gragg was also a member of several organizations including American Legion Post 48, VFW, St. Stephen's Lion Club, Hickory Masonic Lodge 343, A.F.A.M., Oasis Shrine, and the Hickory York Right Bodies.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta Roy Gragg of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Doris Locke and Ms. Debra Berry, both of Hickory; one brother, Charles Gragg of Hickory; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Moore and Mrs. Charlotte Murphy, both of Hickory; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Springs Road Baptist Church with the Revs. J.T. Clineand Wayne Moore officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
