Cal was born November 9, 1926 to Calvin and Bettie Lee Pearman in Summerfield, NC. He was a veteran of WWII and attended North Georgia College. He retired from Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company after 45 years of employment. He was a long-time member of Guilford College United Methodist Church and served in various capacities through the years. Cal enjoyed playing golf, spending time at Holden Beach with his family, and country music.

In addition to his parents, Cal was predeceased by brothers, Aubrey, Paul, Carl (infant), and Andrew (Cleo) Pearman; and sisters, Odie Pearman, Cordie Jennings, Lula Lovette, and Lavinia Pearman (infant).

Cal is survived by his wife of 51 years, one son, three daughters; three grandsons, one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters and one sister and brother.
