He is a son of Alonzo Lemuel Broadwell and Emma Lauretta Baker. Joseph married Charity "Chat" Oliver 14 June 1913. It appears all his children are with Charity. Joseph and Lula are found listed as Gold Star Parents after the death of his son Walter during WWII at Japan.
