He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, served with the Chemical Warfare Division of the United States Army during the European and Pacific Theaters during World War II. Mr. Murphy was a 1931 graduate of Hubbard High School and was an avid golfer.
He leaves a sister, Anne Thorpe of Cortland and a brother – in – law, Jack J. Moran of Hubbard. A sister, Kathleen Moran is deceased.
Funeral services will be held Monday 9:30 AM at the Kelley – Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
