THE CELINA RECORD, 14 NOVEMBER 1963 CELINA, TEXAS
Obituary: Funeral service for Murphy G. Balch, 66, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Methodist Church of Celina, Texas. Mr. Balch's death occurred at 11:40 a.m. Saturday at his home NE of Celina, Texas. Conducting the services were Rev. Authur Renfro, pastor of Weston Methodist Church assisted by Rev. Donald Coke, pastor of the Celina church. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Morgan Scott Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Clarence Dickerson, Harvy Rutherford, Vance Blackwell, Odell Lowe, Arvil Watson and Hershal Flanary.

Mr. Balch was born in the Celina area, October 23, 1897, son of HENRY G. and SALLY HENDRICKS BALCH.

He was a member of the Weston Methodist Church and a retired farmer.

Survivors are his wife, one son, Bob Balch of Celina, Texas
one brother, Lake Balch of Tioga, Texas
four sisters, Mrs. S. M. Berry of Sherman Texas
Mrs. Ella Miles of Texarkana, Texas
Mrs. Ruby Bodobsky of Tioga, Texas
Mrs. Joe Gentry of Van Alstyne, Texas

two grandchildren
