Raymond Jack Barnes, Jr., 71, Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed from this life Sunday, May 5, 2013.

Jack was born in Hoisington, Kansas, on July 24, 1941, to Raymond Jack Barnes, Sr. and Ruth (Patton) Barnes. Following graduation from High School at the age of 16, Jack was already matured beyond his years. On July 28,1960, he was married to his sweetheart Sharon Keene in Harpers Valley, Oklahoma. Together they enjoyed almost 53 years of marriage. After serving his country in the United States Army, Jack settled down to working hard to support his beloved family. For more than 45 years, Jack worked at lumber companies from being a dispatcher to merchandise salesman. His last job was Morrow-Gill Lumber Company in Sand Springs, Oklahoma for more than 22 years. Being the dedicated husband and father that Jack was, he always had side projects of repairing window and door screens. He stated that going to work and providing for his family was one of his greatest joys. Jack's dedication and service oriented personality was displayed in his Membership of the Masonic Lodge of Mannford, Oklahoma, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Preceding Jack in death were his parents Raymond and Ruth Barnes and step-mother Rosezina Barnes.

Funeral services for Jack will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 10:00am, in the Broadway Baptist Church, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in the Harpers Valley Cemetery just west of Kiowa, Oklahoma. Visitation for Jack will be Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 8:00am until 8:00pm.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service, Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
