MUNCIE--Florence Elizabeth Hatcher, 96, of Muncie, IN, passed away Thursday at Ball Memorial Hosptial in Muncie, IN. She was born in Bellefontaine, OH, to the late Abraham L. and Melanie M. (Spurlock) Dipple.
Florence lived most of her life in Muncie. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her family.
Surviving relatives include her son, Jon Alan Hatcher (wife-Marcia); two grandsons; two step-granddaughters; and sister, Lucille Dipple.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, John W. Hatcher; daughter, Penny Ann Hatcher; and Jon's first wife, Jennie.
Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, has been entrusted with arrangements. There will be no visitation, per the family's request. Burial will take place in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Bellefontaine, OH, on Monday.
