Mrs. Alsop's gravestone, like that of her father-in-law's nearby, appears to be the work of the noted Manhattan carver John Zuricher. It is somewhat unusual in that it was not carved brown sandstone, as were the majority of gravestones in the NY-NJ area during the colonial era.
The inscription reads:
"IN MEMORY OF
MARY ALSOP, WIFE OF
JOHN ALSOP, MERCHANT,
WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE
THE 14TH OF APRIL 1772
AGED 28 YEARS"
