Ella Margaret Thaxton
Ella Margaret (Dencker) Thaxton, 89, passed away Thursday May 2nd, 2013 at Katherines Place in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The daughter of Chris and Dora (Schroder) Dencker, she was born October 9, 1923 at the family home in Eva, Oklahoma.
Ella grew out of the dust bowl and attended college during WWII while the boys were at war. She later achieved her Masters of Business degree from the Oklahoma State University. She instilled a love of learning and reading in her family. She cherished her church family at Grace Lutheran in Little Rock, Arkansas and later at St. John's in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Barber Thaxton of Felt, Oklahoma, her infant sister Margaret and her brother Gus (Joan) Dencker of Guymon, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her four children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, May 8th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Wescoatt pastor of the St. Johns Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the community center in Felt following the interment.
Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
