William was born in Kentucky (1850 Census) about 1819. He was a Blacksmith. He moved to Louisiana sometime before 1849. William married on 3/22/1849 in Bienville Parish to Laurella (Stevenson)Alden. They had 2 children, John W., William T., and possibly Andrew(living with Laurella's sister on 1870 Census). It is assumed William died sometime between 1853 (the birth of William T.) and Laurella's third marriage on 10/15/1861 to Jeremiah M. Culverhouse. He was possibly buried on Lake Road in Webster Parish(His wife's land). The graves no longer exist but an old family story is that there use to be Fuller graves on Lake road that were plowed under.
