Loretta A. Eberhardt, age 83, of 305 South St. in Plymouth, went to be with her Lord Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2005 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, where she had been a patient since May 12, after suffering a heart attack on May 11.

She was born July 27, 1921 in Sheboygan a daughter of the late Otto and Viola (Nieman) Matzdorf.

Her family moved to Plymouth where she graduated from Plymouth High School in 1939.

On Jan. 19, 1946, she married Warren Eberhardt at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. They made their home in Plymouth where she helped her husband in the operations of Eberhardt Plumbing and Heating.

Loretta had also worked for Lakeshire Marty in the office. She was also the Welcome Wagon Hostess in Plymouth for many years and managed the gift shop at the Wade House in Greenbush.

Loretta was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, had been a member of the Evening Guild in the church and had taught Sunday school for several years.

She was a charter and life member of the Auxiliary to the Worlds Cheese Center VFW Post # 5612 in Plymouth in which she held numerous offices including President for three years, treasurer for 18 years, in 1980 was elected to the All State Department in Wisconsin and had served as its secretary. She had also been a volunteer for the Plymouth Senior Center and had been active as a 4H leader and campfire leader.

She kept busy with crafts and sewing and enjoyed playing cards with her many friends.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; one daughter, Lynn (Dennis) Pekulik of Sheboygan Falls; one son, Mark (Nancy) of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Jenny and Krissy Pekulik; and one sister, Edith (Robert) Vanderkin of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Matzdorf and Gladys Boeselager.
