Martin,William, b. July 6,153 Massachusetts, d. May 30, 1825. The Centennial History of Chautauqua County says he was at the Battle of Bunker Hill, under Arnold and Montgomery in the epedition against Quebec, where he was wounded. In 180 he was one of the captives of the Indians at Little Falls, taken to Canada as a prisoner. After Several months confinement he made his escape. He is mentioned in the pension list of 1818, residing in Chautauqua County, and as having served as private in Massachusetts Militia. Fluvanna Cemetery
