DECATUR -A. Russell "Russ" Salmons, 61, of Decatur died 4:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 13, 1993) in his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mr. Salmons was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Cold Springs Township, Shelby County son of Arthur and Reba Chatham Salmons. He was self-employed in heating and air conditioning and an Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his sons, Thomas of Decatur; Ed of Huntsville, Mo.; Dwane of Decatur; Justin of Ivesdale; Dennis of Warrensburg; daughter, Marie Morris of New Boston, Mich.; brothers, James and Warren, both of Phoenix, Ariz; sisters, Lois Fletcher of Oreana; Doris Dial of Decatur; Jeanelle Poling of Milmine; Donna Spicer of Bloomfield, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert, two brothers and two sisters.
