In 1910, Lois Annie Williams, eldest child of 15 to Sid and Eva Sauls Williams arrived into this world. She married her first love, Daniel Noonan Davis, beside whom she eternally rests. Together they begat a daughter, Lois Marion in October of 1929 in Jacksonville, FL. The day before their daughter's birth our nation witnessed the 1929 fall of the stock market which ushered in the painful Depression years. Daniel Noonan passed away three weeks later from a terminal illness never realizing his child was not a son. Lois Annie had known he was ill when they married but it did not dampen their love nor determination to begin a life together. After the death of her husband, she returned to Lake City to begin a new life with an infant daughter. She later married her second husband Clarence S. Feagle, Sr.,and was blessed with another child, Clarence S. Feagle, Jr. In 1944 Clarence Sr., was drafted into World War II and unfortunately was lost in France in 1945. By age 35 and at the loss of now two husbands which left her to raise two small children, she threw her entire focus into raising them alone and making strong, faithful and loving adults. In the interim she graduated with very high marks in a business mail-order college course, forged a career in an era when women were not expected to have one and built her own home for her children in which to make their futures.

Both children married, Lois Marion to Charles Henry Hines who together bore four daughters, Dell Anne, Charlene, Kay Sue and Nola Jane. Clarence S. Feagle, Jr., and Geneva Cox bore four children, Lucinda, Linnis, Latitia and LaShawn to add to Lois Annie's life and she treasured each and every one of her children and grandchildren her entire life. She was a beacon of faith, grace and love to her family and friends. She lived her life with her eyes and heart on a residence in the hereafter, and there she remains forever.

Her inspiration and grace is fondly remembered by all and she is sorely missed by those left behind. Her life has been proudly immortalized in print by her eldest Granddaughter, Dell Anne Hines Afzal. Dell hopes her Grandmother's story of tragedy and extreme hardships will help others to realize that even though life brings heartaches, it also brings much inspiration, faith, grace, beauty and joy. Lois Annie, our Matriarch taught us many wonderful life-lessons.
