Son of Thomas Jefferson Bailey, Sr. and JohnAnna Hopson Bailey. Grandson of Mansfield and Susan Bailey, and John H. Hopson and Sarah A. "Sallie" Dansby Hopson.

"Funeral Held for Mr. Bailey"
"Andrew J. Bailey, age 77, of Franklin, GA passed away Friday, August 15, 1975, at the City County Hospital, after an extended illness. . . . Mr. Bailey was a retired county employee, a lifelong resident of Heard County and was a member of Harmony Methodist Church. . . . Survived by his wife Mrs. Lucy Bailey, three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Cole of Grantville, Mrs. Dorothy Hester of Hogansville, Mrs. Katherine Towler of LaGrange, one son, Harvey D. Bailey of Joelton Tenn., ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one brother, Joe Bailey of Macon. . . . Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 16, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Spradlin and Rev. Jay Hodges officiated. Interment was in the Franklin City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Wright, Solon Owensby, Emmett Hopson, Steve Lipford, Robert Lipford, Lonnie Denney, and Harvey Walston."
