Charles Albert Woodington was the son of Albert Woodington and Elizabeth Ann White.

"Charles A. Woodington, 68, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 1125 Franklin Street. He had been in failing health for the past eleven years and critically ill the past week.

Born in Macon County in 1877, Mr. Woodington came to Moberly as a small child. He started to work with the Wabash Railroad at the age of 16 and was employed as a machinist for a number of years, later serving as a general foreman of the round house.

In 1922, he entered the employ of the Missouri Pacific at Nevada and worked until 1934, when ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Woodington; a sister, Mrs. Parke Oxley of Moberly; a brother, Edward Woodington of Nevada; a niece, Mrs. Harold Morrison; and a nephew, Edward Woodington, Jr., of Nevada.

The body will remain at the home, where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. R.W. Lazer, pastor of the First Baptist Church." Moberly Monitor-Index, August 4, 1945
