Neil Morris Eldridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Eldridge, met a tragic end in an accident on the farm, seven miles east of Hebron. Mr. Eldridge was shucking corn on the river bottom and two of his sons, Neil and Marvin, started down to help him. Neil took two guns with him, to shoot game on the way. They had just left the house, a few feet, when Neil handed the guns to Marvin, and as he handed them, one of the guns went off, striking him in the heart and killing him instantly.
