Louise Miears Skidmore, 87, of Paris passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013 at Brentwood Terrace. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday May 3, 2013 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Glyn Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to service.

She was born in Red River County to James Andrew and Claudia Ann Boren Miears. She married G.L. (Jelly) Skidmore in Lamar County on May 21, 1945. She was employed by First National Bank of Paris and the Citizens State Bank. She and Jelly started Jelly Skidmore Trucking Co. in 1966 where she served as secretary and treasurer for 30 years. She was a member of the Blossom 42 Club and also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence, Johnny, Marcus and Jack Miears; sisters Florence Baxter, Eloise Barrett and Gladys Whitten.

She is survived by a son Craig Skidmore and wife Donna of Paris; grandchildren Staci Marie Hughey and husband Billy Bob of Detroit; Adam Skidmore of Tyler; great granddaughter Kalli Hughey; brother, Billy Miears and wife Opal and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Skidmore, Billy Bob Hughey, James Paul Miears, and Tommy Whitten.
