Lillian M. Czechowicz, 78, Wausau, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born December 13, 1934 in Rosholt, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Dombrowski) Ostrowski. On August 20, 1988, she married Stanley Czechowicz Sr. in Wausau. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2008.
For many years, Lillian worked for the 29 Super Grocery Store in the bakery department, until her retirement. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed baking, gardening, flowers and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Survivors include, seven children, Gary (Rhonda) Rogalla, Kronenwetter, Gale (Chris) Ziolkowski, Wisconsin Rapids, Bev (Dave) Bain, Wausau, Steven (Nancy) Rogalla, Tomahawk, Carol (Mark) Sickler, Eland, Lene (Ronald) Hoeft, Minocqua and Lee (Veronica) Rogalla, Wisconsin Rapids; four step-children, Rosie (Ric) Carr, Rib Mountain, Stanley Jr. Czechowicz, Ocala, Fla., Gary (Karen) Czechowicz, Wausau and Brian (Karen) Czechowicz, Ocala, Fla.; 35 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by; one grandson, Kyle Damask; eight siblings, Verna Mallum, Ernest, Edwin, Eddie and Steve Ostrowski, Eleanor Burclaw, Adeline Bembenek and infant Mary Ann Ostrowski; one step-son, Dennis Czechowicz; and two step-daughters, Susan and Marlene Czechowicz.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
