News has been received of the sudden death of Lester Childers, former Utica, Nebraska resident, at Bird City, Kansas, Wednesday morning, February 7th. A heart attack was the cause of his death.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday at 1:00 p.m. and thence to the Methodist church at 2 o'clock at Bird City. Interment took place in the family plot in the Bird City cemetery.

The Childers family a number of years ago, resided north of Tamora and were employed by Bertram Brigham and were very well and favorably known. At that time the family consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Childers, a daughter, Hattie, and two sons, Bertram E. and Russel L. Following their stay with Brighams, the family moved to Utica and about 10 years ago moved to the present Kansas home. There are many in this community who remember with pleasure this fine family and who regret the untimely demise of Mr. Childers.
