Matie Stoops, 83, died at a Nampa nursing home this morning. She was born July 17, 1879, at Ithaca, Wis. She married Clifford Stoops on March 1, 1910, at Richland Center, Wis. They resided on a farm at Viola, Wis., until the death of Mr. Stoops in 1925. She then moved to Richland Center where she lived for 12 years. She came to Nampa in 1937, where she lived until her death. She was a member of the North Nampa Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and one daughter. She is survived by three sons, Wesley P. of Bourbonnois, Ill., D. Norval of Visalia, Calif., and George N. of Nampa; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Agemia and Mrs. Maude Anderson both of Wisconsin, and two brothers, Ruben Jones and Lester Jones in Massachusetts.
