Mr. French was a farm hand and worked at Illiopolis Munitions Plant and retired as a supervisor from Lincoln Developmental Center after 35 years. He was a member of Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lincoln.
Survivors: wife, Helen; son, Paul Alan (wife, Nancy) French of Lincoln; two grandsons; two stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three step-great-grandsons; two brothers, Jim (wife, Virginia) French of Lincoln and Kenneth French of Normal; and two sisters, Annabelle French of Lincoln and Hazel Jones of Atlanta.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Park Meadows Baptist Church, Lincoln, the Rev. S.M. Davis officiating. Burial: Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
