THE WAVERLY FREE PRESS AND TIOGA COUNTY RECORD, FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 1909.
Mrs. Cynthia A. Tucker, wife of Orin Tucker, died Tuesday morning at the family home, 61 Adaline Street, aged 70 years. She is survived by her husband, three sons, LeRoy Tucker, and John Tucker of this village, and Matthew Tucker of Elmira: three daughters, Mrs. G. S. VanEtten of Prospect Valley, Mrs. Dewitt Hazen and Mrs. Marvin Muckey of Owego. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the house, with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Tucker had been in poor health for a number of years and recently suffered several attacks of paralysis, which were the cause of her death. She was an estimable Christian woman and had been a member of the M. E. church here for a great many years, always active in church work until the past few years, when ill health had kept her confined to her home

PROSPECT VALLEY.

G. F. Van Etten and family attended the funeral of Mrs. VanEtten's mother, Mrs. Orrin Tucker, in Owego, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker, a few years ago were residents of this place and although several years have passed since they moved from here, it seems to this community that a neighbor has been taken. She was a sister of J. M. Allen, of this place, also has nephews and a niece, and grandchildren living here. She was a good woman and a good neighbor, and we sympathize with the bereaved ones. C. O. Pierce had the misfortune to lose a cow on Monday.
