Henry Loring Smith was born December 8, 1928, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to Henry M. Smith and Mary Ann Smith. He passed from this life May 1, 2013, at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 23 days. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving during the Korean War. He married Johnnye Hill on April 13, 1952, in Fort Smith, Arkansas and this union was blessed with two sons, John and Michael. Henry was a truck driver, working for Yellow Freight for over 30 years. He loved traveling in their R.V. and playing golf at many world wide courses. He was a member of the Christian Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, a baby daughter, Sue Leta, one brother, three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cotton Hill.
