Mrs. Henry (Emma C.) Stryzewski, 92, Akron, died Friday (August 17, 1990) at the Akron City Convalescent Care Center.
Services were held at 1:30 p. m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Elmer Jacobs officiated. Burial was held in Riverside cemetery at Akron under direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron. Visitation was held Saturday at the funeral home.
"The Lord's Prayer" and "Gentle Shepherd" were sung by Barb Gifford. Pam Richards was organist.
Pallbearers were Mark Stryzewski, Scott Stryzewski, Grant Stryzewski, Lee Stryzewski. Ruth Ann Powell, David Kask, Susan Johnson and Ann Chambers.
Emma C. Stryzewski was born Sept. 19, 1897, at Alvord, Iowa, to Emil and Emma Schultz Gillmann. She was a homemaker and the oldest of 13 children. She married Henry A. Stryzewski Feb. 8, 1922, Peace Lutheran church, rural Sioux Center, Ia. He passes away Jan. 25, 1970. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Akron, and belonged to the Martha circle.
She is survived by a son, Ralph Stryzewski of Sioux Falls, S. D.; two daughters, Esther Forrest of Carroll, Ia., and Phiyllis Kask of Minneapolis, Minn.: eight gradnchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Luise Linder Kamp, Mrs. ElmerJacobs and Florence Kramer, all of Charles City, Ia., and and Verna Lehmann of Akron; and two brothers, Arthur Gillmann of Sioux City and Paul Gillmann of Rock Rapids, Ia..
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Esther and Agatha; and four brothers, Herbert, Walter, Emil and Hilbert.
