ROBERT "BOB" EVEREST - MILTON - Robert "Bob" Everest, 86, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Bob was born on April 6, 1927, in St. Albans, the son of the late Ira and Ethel Wells Everest. He was a W.W.II Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served aboard the Nuclear U.S. Spinax Submarine. As a resident of Milton, Bob was a devoted caretaker of Everest Beach, and a devoted caretaker and member of Seneca Lodge #40 F&AM, Milton. He was also a member of The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Burlington, The Cairo Temple, the Cellarsavers, and the American Legion. He was a faithful 18-year member of Excel PT, where he enjoyed camaraderie and lively conversations. More importantly, Bob was a humble, sensitive, generous, compassionate person who was a true gentleman and will be truly missed by his family and his many friends. He is survived by his nieces, Amy Morway and Laurie Scott of Milton, and their children, Beth (Jim) Morway Billado, Kyle (Jill), and Kevin Morway, Alicia (Bert) Scott Sheltra, and Jason Scott; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Everest of Milton. He was predeceased by his brother, Herb Everest; sister, Betty Sweeney; and his longtime companion, Lorraine Jacobs. As per Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time; however a graveside Masonic Service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.minorfh.com.
